It has been a busy summer so far for Native Awareness as we've been running our regular schedule and the Earth Living Programme. For the first time in a long while we ran a Family Camp in July which was a wonderful event to be a part of. It was an honour to watch children and their parents grow together, in a natural environment and away from the distractions of the modern world. The children learnt to burn out bowls, to track and move like the animals and to make fire using, amongst other methods, a giant bow-drill set.

A new offering for Native Awareness, as we were so inspired by the Family Camp is that of Children's Programmes. We are currently in the process of constructing these classes so watch this space!  In the mean-time if you feel that your child would like a woodland birthday party or a camp over then please do contact the Native Awareness office.

We are pleased to announce that we are running a free Skills Gathering at Ravenshill on 7th - 9th of September. All those who have taken Native Skills 1 and beyond are welcome to practice skills and to take the opportunity to gain some dirt time and enjoy evenings around the camp fire. Families of graduates are more than welcome too.
